An experience that made me understand the importance of human value for the success of a project.

After completing my studies, I started working as a sales assistant in the clothing sector, but soon realized that my path was in administration. After a few years in the administration office at Benetton, I decided to take on a new challenge and joined Generali Spa. Since then, I have worked in various companies as an administrative assistant, gaining extensive experience in the field.

My adventure with Blooming Group began in July 2017, when I became the first employee of the BKNO group, actively contributing to its growth.

I immediately embraced a great challenge in a new sector, one that excited me from the start. I quickly specialized in human resources management and store recruiting: an experience that enriched me greatly and made me understand the importance of human value for the success of a project. I witnessed the addition of other brands, the introduction of new professional figures, and the founders’ continuous enthusiasm in an extraordinary business reality.

Today, I am the executive secretary of Blooming Group, also providing support for administrative coordination with particular attention to managing the Burger King branch.

Every day is an exciting test, where my main goal is to find a balance between administrative needs and store operational requirements, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

And every day, I seek this balance in an environment truly unlike anything I had known before. What sets Blooming Group apart is its ability to look beyond with optimism and self-awareness. Here, we truly see every challenge as an opportunity to grow and improve.

The real challenge lies in making such a large and complex machine work. The satisfaction is seeing it run like clockwork.

I’ve been working in the restaurant industry for as long as I can remember, holding various roles in different cities. All the experiences I’ve had in the past have led me to my current position as the Operations and Human Resources Director for the Burger King brand developed by Blooming Group.

I joined Blooming Group in 2022 following the acquisition of the company I was working for, and I found a reality that I didn’t expect, but had long been seeking: young, modern, and with great ambitions. It was exactly what I wanted to elevate over thirty years of experience in the industry to a new level.

I started quite early, in 1990, as a Chef de Partie in a Milanese restaurant, and then continued, still in the kitchen, in Rome. I loved cooking, but I was also attracted to everything that allowed me to do it professionally. Thus, I developed skills in selling professional equipment. I also became passionate about restaurant management and managed restaurants and complex meal distribution systems in canteens.

Today, at Blooming Group, I focus on Burger King: managing all controllable costs, human resources, customer service, and ensuring that Burger King standards are upheld.

But the real challenge, and the most interesting part of my job, is being a true link between various departments (purchasing office, personnel office, maintenance office, administrative office, etc.) and the points of sale: an essential role in making such a large and complex machine work. And equally great is the satisfaction of seeing it run like clockwork.

My name is Rachele Basso, and I currently hold the role of Multi-Unit Store Manager at Blooming Group.

I started working while I was still in high school and, by chance, entered the food service industry, moving from pastry to gastronomy and then to coffee shops. It was as a barista that I first joined the Blooming world. Initially out of curiosity and for fun, I approached the Burger King world, where I quickly developed a passion for the work. There, I had the opportunity to learn and grow, progressing from Assistant Manager to Manager, then Store Manager, and finally to my current role.

My day is spent in the stores, divided between operational management and administrative and organizational activities. I involve the teams in achieving set goals, and together we strive to carry out daily activities as smoothly as possible, driven by the passion that has always accompanied me in everything I do.

I focus first and foremost on giving people a clear goal to achieve, on numbers in reports, and on market analysis.

From crew member to area manager, at Blooming Group I have truly achieved a dream. My journey began far back, within a crew, where I realized that the restaurant industry could be an exciting adventure. From there, my career progressed from position to position, from assistant manager to manager, store manager, and finally to area manager. A rewarding journey undertaken in BNKO, which later merged into Blooming Group.

I am truly proud to be today the area manager of six stores and responsible for their entire operational line. My day is quite intense, and I focus first and foremost on giving people a clear goal to achieve: it starts with assigning objectives to individual salespeople and teams, establishing incentives, and monitoring sales and revenue goals and margins.

Teams are extremely important at Blooming Group, which is why I personally select and train new collaborators; I carefully observe what contribution they can make and what we can do to enhance their skills and meet their ambitions.

In addition to people, I also deal with numbers. I am indeed involved in budget management, with the aim of maximizing the cost-revenue ratio. We have a method for this based on periodic reporting for management and marketing and sales function managers. Thanks to this reporting, I can evaluate individual and team performances, making corrections when necessary. Furthermore, I direct and supervise capital optimization projects to expand our business footprint and thus drive profit growth.

People and numbers, therefore. But that’s not all. I also analyze the target market and current and potential customers, monitor trend forecasts, adjusting budgets and operational plans, and certainly, I never shy away from supporting my colleagues in managing their tasks. I am rather meticulous, so I insist a lot on the qualitative and quantitative standards of production, which must always be very high and precise, and this is truly appreciated.

I am convinced that Blooming Group, unlike other companies I have known, truly provides the opportunity to grow in various fields and to improve one’s work experience through interaction with managers from different backgrounds.

Data analysis is the key to true business control.

I’m Matteo Bilanzuoli, and I’ve always been fond of numbers. Since my early jobs, I’ve developed a passion for data, fueled by an environment where analytical skills were highly valued. I learned to use tools for data processing and visualization, eventually becoming a business controller.

At Blooming Group, I precisely cover the role of Business Controller and Data Analyst. I responded to a call for a Business-oriented Controller, and after learning about the path and vision, I eagerly seized the opportunity to join the team and contribute to the company’s success.

My daily tasks involve collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial and performance KPIs for all the brands within the group, aiming to optimize operations, improve business decisions, and enhance process productivity. I manage business intelligence development through PowerBI dashboards to provide sales, cost, and performance analyses for both the group and individual stores, accessible with just one click from desktop and mobile.

I believe Blooming Group is unique for its opportunity to work with multiple brands from various sectors, allowing one to acquire diverse skills and management approaches, gather the best from each, and create a successful business model.

My professional career has been marked by significant milestones and people, leading me to the role of Area Manager for Befed Nord Est at Blooming Group. Since my university days, I knew that the food industry was my path. I began working in the organization of street food events at a local and national level, and later had the opportunity to join the development team of the Burger King brand. There, I managed the opening of restaurants in Turin and Genoa.

I also collaborated in the development of the Starbucks brand in Italy, overseeing the opening of the first store in Turin and then in Milan, before returning to the group from which Blooming Group originated in 2021. Here, I contributed to the growth of the Barotto and del VizioEspresso Bar brands. Since then, the growth has been continuous, and today I hold the position of Area Manager. This role requires versatile skills and great dedication. Every day is different from the previous and the next. I am always engaged in activities ranging from logistics to personnel management, from customer care to local marketing.

What makes Blooming Group so special is the attention it pays to people and the values ​​that are now synthesized in the ESG formula, which are fundamental to me to give my best every day. My journey into the world of food started from afar. My background, in fact, was in the social and third sectors, while catering was mostly a passion that I had never turned into a profession. Until I almost accidentally entered the fast-food world, and from that moment on, I became passionate about a system that combines attention to the economic balance of a project with the professional growth of every team member.

In six years, from a simple crew member, I became an assistant manager, and later, the manager of some Burger King restaurants. And now, as the area manager of the restaurants in Verona, I truly feel like the protagonist in managing costs but also, and above all, the operations of the premises and the teams within them. Being the reference point for five locations is a challenge that excites me and makes me see every day as an opportunity for professional and personal growth.

Internal operations, cost control, continuous training of teams and staff, local store marketing, sales and flow analysis are my daily bread. Living in such a complex and articulated reality is a fundamental driving force for facing the challenge of being a protagonist in this company.

In this experience, I was responsible for the overall organization and, in particular, for the mechanographic management of the cash registers, gaining a deep understanding of the operational and managerial dynamics of retail.

Subsequently, I started my career as a financial advisor, developing a solid foundation in the investment sector. I then expanded my skills by working in various fields such as betting, managing a horse racing stable, clothing retail, and the real estate market. At the same time, I dedicated time to volunteering at the Regina Margherita Children’s Hospital — an experience that deeply enriched me and allowed me to develop strong empathy and teamwork skills.

In 2017, I began my journey with Bkno, joining the team that opened the first store in Nichelino. I was one of the three managers involved in the opening; this crucial experience laid the foundations for my career within the company.

Today, at Blooming Group, I hold the role of Multi-Unit Store Manager for Burger King, where every day is a dynamic combination of analysis, planning, and interaction with the various teams. My main responsibilities include the operational management of multiple stores, performance optimization, and continuous staff training. I work closely with the marketing and human resources departments to ensure the achievement of corporate goals.

My name is Andrea Corteggiano, and I serve as Area Manager for the Brescia and Cavaria area. I joined Burger King in 2017, somewhat by chance. My passion for cooking has always driven me to get involved in the restaurant industry, seeking to understand the mechanisms of management and development of a restaurant.
I went through all the stages — from crew member, to assistant manager, restaurant manager, multi-unit, and finally area manager. Today, I am responsible for the management and development of five stores.

I joined Blooming Group when the company I worked for was acquired. From the very beginning, I was positively impressed by the strong desire for growth and the positive mindset I found.

My day is structured according to ongoing projects and emerging priorities: I visit the restaurants to ensure that everything operates in compliance with company guidelines and Burger King’s quality standards.

I personally dedicate myself to the training of managers and the growth of the different teams. I invest a great deal of time in human resources, as I consider them the most important and valuable asset a company has — one that must be preserved and developed.

My name is Debora Brau, and I work as an Accounting Specialist at Blooming.

My professional career began in an accounting firm, where I had the opportunity to deepen both the accounting and fiscal aspects of the profession. It was a fundamental experience that gave me a solid foundation.
I also worked for a tax assistance center (CAF), where I handled very diverse cases, learning to move easily between regulations and practical situations.

At Blooming, I take care of accounting in all its aspects: from the accounts payable and receivable cycles to journal entries, treasury, payments, and various other administrative activities.
It is a diversified role that allows me to combine technical skills with attention to detail — and this is exactly what I am passionate about in my job.

I am Maria Elena Ursino, Accounting Specialist. I worked for 16 years in an accounting firm dealing with bookkeeping and tax returns. In that environment, I learned to manage stress, sharpen my problem-solving skills, and easily organize multiple activities in parallel.

At Blooming, I handle accounting: I record the accounts payable and receivable cycles of the companies and manage the cash book. When needed, I also take care of administrative tasks and help resolve the operational issues that may arise.

Blooming is a vibrant and stimulating company. In the office, there is a wide variety of ages: this allows me to interact with younger colleagues and collaborate naturally. Collaboration has grown thanks to the team-building days organized by the company, which helped us build stronger relationships.

Dopo gli studi, ho iniziato a lavorare come addetta vendite nel settore abbigliamento, ma ben presto ho capito che la mia strada era l’amministrazione. Dopo alcuni anni all’ufficio amministrazione di Benetton ho deciso di intraprendere una nuova sfida e mi sono unita alla Generali Spa. Da allora, ho lavorato in diverse aziende come impiegata amministrativa, acquisendo una vasta esperienza nel settore.

La mia avventura con il Blooming Group è iniziata nel luglio 2017, quando sono diventata la prima dipendente del gruppo BKNO, di cui ho partecipato attivamente alla crescita.

Ho colto subito una grande sfida in un settore nuovo, ma che mi ha entusiasmata da subito. Mi sono specializzata rapidamente nella gestione delle risorse umane e nel recruiting degli store: un’esperienza che mi ha arricchita molto e mi ha fatto comprendere l’importanza del valore umano per il successo di un progetto. La mia passione? Sfatare il mito che il mondo digitale sia una dimensione inaccessibile per alcune imprese. Infatti, ho dedicato gran parte della mia carriera ad aiutare queste imprese ad avvicinarsi alla comunicazione digitale, e in particolare ai social media.

Dopo diverse esperienze a Milano, dove mi sono laureate in Comunicazione per l’impresa, a Torino e a Malta nei settori del retail di lusso, cosmesi e servizi finanziari oggi sono la Marketing Communication Specialist di Blooming Group.

La mia avventura in Blooming Group è iniziata nel 2021 come responsabile della comunicazione del brand LAB. Oggi, mi occupo del marketing e della comunicazione di tutti i brand del gruppo. Creatività, strategia e analisi guidano ogni mia azione. Gestisco tutti i canali digitali del gruppo, progetto strategie di marketing locale, analizzo dati e creo report dettagliati, e coordino le necessità dei singoli store con le attività di marketing e comunicazione nazionali.

Lavoro a 360° gradi su tutti gli aspetti del marketing e della comunicazione. Avere una visione operativa degli store mi permette di implementare strategie più precise ed efficienti. La cultura del gruppo, orientata ai dati, mi fornisce gli strumenti necessari per la misurazione delle performance e la creazione di report periodici che mi guidano nel mio lavoro.

Lavoro da sempre nel mondo della ristorazione, con vari ruoli e in città diverse, e tutte le esperienze fatte in passato mi hanno portato oggi ad essere il direttore operativo e risorse umane per il marchio Burger King sviluppato da Blooming Group. Sono entrato in Blooming nel 2022 a seguito dell’acquisizione dell’azienda in cui lavoravo e ho trovato una realtà che non mi aspettavo, ma che da tempo cercavo: giovane, moderna e con grandi ambizioni. Esattamente ciò che volevo per portare ad un nuovo livello oltre trent’anni di esperienza nel settore. Ho iniziato, infatti, molto presto, nel 1990 come Chef de partie in un ristorante milanese per poi proseguire, sempre in cucina, a Roma. Amavo cucinare, ma ero anche attratto da tutto ciò che permette di farlo profesionalmente e così ho sviluppato competenze di vendita di strumentazioni profesionali. Mi sono anche appassionato al management della ristorazione e ho gestito ristoranti e sistemi complessi di somministrazione pasti nelle mense. Oggi, in Blooming, mi occupo di Burger King: gestisco tutti i costi controllabili, le risorse umane, l’accoglienza al cliente e controllo che gli standard BK vengano rispettati. Ma la vera sfida, e la parte più interesante del mio lavoro, sta nell’essere un vero e proprio collante tra i vari reparti (ufficio acquisti, ufficio personale, ufficio manutenzioni ufficio amministrativo ecc) e i punti vendita: un ruolo essenziale per far funzionare una macchina così grande e così complessa. E altrettanto grande è la soddisfazione di vederla girare come un orologio.
