Inclusion and Second Chances: Blooming Group Hires Seven Inmates in Its Stores

12 march 2025

Last October, we launched a job placement project for seven inmates from the Turin Correctional Facility—five men and two women—with the goal of offering a concrete opportunity for social reintegration through work.

The initiative was made possible thanks to the collaboration with Ufficio Pio and the support of the Abele Foundation, which fully funded internships for the first six months, allowing the company to sustain zero costs during the initial phase.

This project gave us the chance to engage with complex personal stories, often marked by obstacles and prejudice that make it difficult to find employment stability after incarceration.

While we did face some challenges—two internships ended after about two months—we also witnessed highly positive experiences, such as that of a former chef who stood out for his dedication, commitment, and ability to meet the required standards.

We believe that work is a key tool for offering second chances and promoting social integration.
That’s why we’re proud to say that today, seven individuals from this program are officially part of our team.

At Blooming Group, #PeopleCentric is not just a value, it’s a concrete commitment that guides our daily choices toward a more responsible and inclusive idea of business.
